Defending your right to shop freely

Educating lawmakers and the public on the facts surrounding age-restricted products and fighting to keep them available for all North Carolinians

ABOUT NCCC

North Carolina for Consumer Choice was founded to protect adults' right to access alternative nicotine products and to fight back against excessive regulations that would limit consumer freedom in our state.

We work to educate lawmakers, the public, and the media about the real impact of tobacco harm reduction and advocate for policies that preserve access to vapor products. By working with industry experts, advocacy groups, and businesses, we ensure that decision-makers understand how harmful legislation could affect public health, small businesses, and consumer choice.

CURRENT FIGHT

H900 limits your freedom

House Bill 900 is a dangerous overreach that allows North Carolina to enforce FDA regulations in a way that effectively bans most vapor products in the state. The bill introduces a "registry" that limits legal sales to a small number of products, shutting down independent vape shops, eliminating jobs, and pushing adult consumers back to traditional cigarettes.

We are fighting back through legislative efforts, legal challenges, and public awareness campaigns to stop this harmful bill before it devastates the industry and the people who rely on it.

WHAT WE DO

How we defend your rights

  • We work with lobbyists at the State Capitol to ensure your interests are represented, which in turn protects the NC vapor industry.

  • We send out notifications and updates on key battles to keep you up-to-date on regulations and laws at the state level that may impact the vaping industry.

  • We take care of talking points, position papers, and opinion pieces for you, making it easy and straightforward to inform your local officials and the public of the issues facing our industry.

  • After votes have taken place, we distribute information on how your elected officials voted on vapor issues.

  • NCCC provides professional public affairs assistance to combat false or misleading media stories about vaping and begin to reframe the discussion on the NC vapor industry.

  • We broadcast any developments in Washington, D.C. and other state capitols related to vapor products and the industry at large.
